Covolan Têxtil® uses the biomass fuel. The biomass is a renewable energy source that uses an organic material as wood derivate (pallets, wood residuals, among others); agro-industrial residuals, sugarcane, etc., considered renewable energy sources.

Biomass may be considered a renewable natural resource, while the fossil fuels do not renew itself on short term. The biomass is used on energy production from the combustion processes of organic material produced and accumulated on an ecosystem.

The Biomass burning provokes the releasing of carbon dioxide on the atmosphere. But as this compose had been previously absorbed by plants that started fuel origin, the balance of CO2 emission is null.

Ecological Value: low cost. It is renewable! Allows the reusing of residuals and it is less pollutant than other types of energy like those got from fossil fuel.

On boiler, biomass is the fuel which will generate the steam, in other words, transform water into steam, using many biomass compositions. This process occurs in a separated pot, which is linked to the boiler. Then, there is the water heating, that will be transformed into steam, it will pass through tubulation.

The steam´s way will variate. According to boiler´s type, the biomass used may occur by two manners, named as fire tube (“flametube” boilers) and water tube (“watertube”).

On Covolan Têxtil®, is used the “watertube” boiler. The water will run through a series of tubes, with combustion sent to the boiler, heating water and transforming it into steam.

“Watertube” Boiler is essential, when there is the need of higher quantity of steam and heat.

Ecological Value: Bigger sustainability on industrial process. This action minimizes the environmental impact, cause the city halls need to make the reject discards and when this material is burned, we avoid the use of oil, gases, wood or vegetable coal.

SUSTAINABILITY IS OUR ENERGY!
